Donate food

Support us by donating food and other essentials.

BankTheFood

The free BankTheFood app provides real-time updates of which items we need.

More people than ever are being driven to food banks and the sharp increase in people needing help is outstripping food donations.

Your donations are vital to ensure that we can continue to help the people in our community. We receive just over 60% of our food from donations and we have to buy around 40%, so all the support we get in donations of food or financial support makes a huge difference and is hugely appreciated. That's why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious minimum three–day supply of food.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis.

  • Please note that we can only accept non-perishable food items that are still in date. We cannot accept fresh food or homemade goods for health and safety reasons.
  • We accept additional items such as toiletries and cleaning supplies – but we do not accept clothing, toys, or electrical goods.
  • It rarely happens, but sometimes we are given items that are close to their expiry date. When this does happen, we share it with other local charities to use so there is less waste and all donations get used.

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food or any other items.
